FOLIAGE
Foliage is the olfactive interpretation of the stillness one feels while watching leaves slowly fall, one by one, creating golden carpets beneath our feet.
For Nuria du Chêne de Vère, there is something deeply poetic about autumn: whether in the city, by the sea, in the mountains or in the countryside, nature seems to become more alive and, at the same time, more silent — captivating in its ritual of preparing for rest.
This season, with its melancholic beauty, always draws her into a more intimate and contemplative state of mind.
While composing the fragrance, she imagines stepping outside at dawn, when everything is still wrapped in mist. Before her, a veiled lake reflects the first rays of sunlight. She sits beneath a pomegranate tree heavy with fruit, as golden leaves gently settle on the water; in the background, only the sound of ducks and the suspended silence of the morning.
In this dreamlike landscape, a scent catches her by surprise: osmanthus in full bloom. She searches for it, finds it, breaks off a small branch and takes it home with her. She lights a candle and, in an instant, she is there again.
Through fragrance, she can travel, feel, remember; she can blend memory and imagination.
With notes of osmanthus, pomegranate, nutmeg and vetiver, Foliage becomes an invitation to surrender to that same sensation: to let yourself be carried away to a place entirely your own, even with your eyes open.
